Shipped in the pod, cooled within the first hour
The product travels in its pod. A closed pod holds field heat inside, and to remove that heat quickly the company starts cooling within the first hour after harvest. This is the company’s own statement for this product.
On storage temperature, humidity and shelf life we give no figures: the UC Davis Postharvest Center, whose fact sheets we quote for other vegetables, has not published a sheet for fresh broad beans. Cartons and pallets
Fresh broad beans are packed in cartons of 60 × 40 × 15 cm and prepared in line with the shipment plan. The cartons are stacked on euro pallets of 80 × 120 cm. HS code when you import broad beans from Turkey
Broad beans are declared under HS 0708.90, the subheading for other leguminous vegetables. Before shipment, have your customs broker confirm the full tariff line that applies in your country.
Documents and residues
