California Pepper

Blocky bell peppers — the four-lobed kind that stands upright on a shelf — in red, yellow and green. Shape matters as much as colour here; a pepper that will not stand is downgraded whatever it tastes like.

Greenhouse production covers all twelve months. Fruit is cut with a short stalk left on, which keeps it from drying at the crown.
