Grape Crimson

Crimson Seedless arrives late in the grape season, from July into November, and that timing is most of its value: it lands when the early varieties are finished and demand has nowhere else to go.

Bunches are trimmed in the vineyard — loose, damaged or undersized berries come off there rather than in the packhouse, because a trimmed bunch travels without shedding. Colour should be an even bright red; patchy bunches are held back for the domestic market.
