Apple Golden

Golden Delicious apples come down from the orchards of Elmalı and Korkuteli, where the altitude keeps the nights cool and the fruit firm. Harvest starts in September and runs to mid-December; controlled-atmosphere storage carries the crop through to June.

The skin turns from green to a clear yellow as the fruit matures, and the flesh stays crisp rather than mealy — the reason this variety travels and stores as well as it does. Grading is by calibre and colour, to whatever standard the buyer works to.

Fruit is cooled the day it is picked and moves under an unbroken cold chain. Hatipoğlu Tarım has been exporting fresh fruit and vegetables from Antalya since 2002, working under ISO 9001, ISO 22000, GLOBALG.A.P. and BRC certification.
