Orange Valencia

Valencia picks up where the navels leave off — March to June, the late half of the citrus year. Thinner skin, more seeds, and juice that stays sweet after pressing, which is why the juice trade waits for it.

The tree carries two crops at once in spring, this year’s fruit and next year’s blossom together, so picking is done by hand with care for the new set.
