Pomegranate

Pomegranates ripen along the Antalya coast from early October, and harvest runs into mid-December. Held in cold storage the fruit keeps its quality through March, so we load well beyond the picking season.

For export we select varieties with large, deep red arils and a firm skin that travels well. Every fruit is inspected by hand — any with a split or sun-scarred skin is set aside, since that is where spoilage begins on a long journey.

Fruit is cooled the day it is picked and moves under an unbroken cold chain, by refrigerated road transport or air freight, whichever suits the buyer’s schedule.
