Pineapple

Pineapple does not grow in Turkey; we source and re-export it, which is why it appears on our list in every month of the year rather than in a season.

Fruit arrives graded and is held in temperature-controlled rooms until it ships onward — pineapple chills badly below 7 °C, and cold damage does not show until the fruit is cut open.
